To help you personalise your experience, the Barracks is available in three specification levels—SL-1, SL-2, and Unlimited—each offering increasing levels of off-grid performance, technology, and creature comforts.
The Salute Barracks features our advanced DuraTech Timberless Frame—a rot-free structure with composite sides, front & rear, and an aluminium roof frame. Fire resistant, thermally efficient & 100% water ingress proof, it’s engineered for durability in all Australian conditions.
A One-Piece Composite Floor adds strength below, delivering a lightweight, waterproof base with excellent structural integrity.
Prefer a lower starting price? A Meranti Timber Frame is also available—delivering proven long-term performance at reduced cost.
Every Salute rides on a tough, Australian-made off-road chassis—engineered for strength and reliability in remote terrain. Matched with premium independent suspension systems, including coil spring or self-levelling airbag options, your van is built to handle rough tracks, corrugations, and off-grid destinations with ease.
All Salute vans are built to support off-grid travel, with features such as REDARC battery management, lithium batteries, solar power, generous water storage, and grey water tanks. Select models also include diesel heating, Starlink-ready wiring, and high-powered inverters—giving you the freedom to stay remote without compromise.
The practical floor plan in the Barracks has been designed with a view to maximise living space when you come together as a family and also to provide all the storage that you’ll need for those long journeys. Standard safety features include a rear-view camera with a built-in speaker and LCD monitor, electronic sway control, and a break-safe break-away system. Slide-out toolboxes, user-friendly controls, and thoughtful inclusions help streamline life on the road—whether you’re towing, setting up, or settling in.
